Original design is for 60F-100F ambient. However we have a special build that could go down to 40F. If you need that please write to support@machinesense.com
Now if body is too cold, it wont read as it will be meaningless fever screening. In winter, what you need to do, please let them scan middle of the forearm that is covered -they need to take sleeves off and scan. And then use Core-body temperature to get an idea of Fever.
